NOT everyone is happy with our beaches, because of a lack of seating.
I am sure those who, during this August sunny weather, have been disappointed with the severe lack of adequate seating, especially when this essential amenity is better catered for in other rival seaside resorts.
I am referring mainly to the Bournemouth promenade where Cllr Williams quotes the meagre figure of only 250 benches seating an average of 1,000 people, residents and visitors, and he includes the piers in this figure.
He has got his priorities somewhat about face as he places great stress on the number of eating houses there are.
Bournemouth has always been well-equipped with places to eat, but, are there enough seats on the promenade, public gardens, horseshoe common etc?
The answer is no.
So, Cllr Williams, please bring your amenity improvement programme up to date and equip our lovely resort with adequate seating for all, both young and old. The Imax open site is a glaring example of the lack of seating.
