I AM dismayed but not surprised to learn that local MP Robert Syms voted in favour of the UK taking military action on Thursday night in Parliament against Syria on behalf of his constituents in Poole.
I note with some interest that one of his Conservative colleagues Adam Holloway, the MP for Gravesham, reported on BBC News on Friday morning that he had had over 200 representations urging him to vote against military action and none in favour. He therefore voted against the Government line.
In the interests of transparency I would urge Mr Syms to publish the numbers and nature of any representations (obviously not including identities) he had from Poole residents on this issue before voting yet again in favour of the UK government taking military action.
