ON Father’s Day, I went to pay my respects to my parents’ grave at Branksome cemetery. I was shocked and disgusted to see the state of the grounds.
I appreciate due to Covid-19 it has been difficult for everyone. However, I would have thought with this being outside that someone could have gone and at least cut the grass so people can still pay respects to their loved ones.
I found it difficult to see the headstone due to overhanging tree branches touching the ground. I hope that the next time I visit someone has been able to maintain this overgrown cemetery.
