FURTHER to letters recently printed in the Daily Echo about the litter in Poole and surrounding areas, I am writing to ask Poole council how the gentlemen employed to keep the streets clean can do their job properly without the equipment needed?
I, plus other residents and shoppers in Poole saw them today walking about picking up the litter with litter pickers.
They have been without their sweepers for some time now and it is just not right that they have to work like this.
Until they have the right equipment available and actually in good working order, Poole will not be a clean place to live in, shop in or visit.
These chaps work very hard and are not appreciated by the council or the public and deserve to be treated a great deal better by all concerned.
Poole council have got to do something about this.
We would like the town to be respectable for the residents and visitors.
