MAY I be permitted to comment on the letter from Adrian Fudge (April 28) relating to the new development of 25 flats called Dolphin Mews in Seabourne Road, Pokesdown.
While I agree with him that it is much-needed, in as much as 25 new homes are available to rent, I must comment on the fact that there is no parking available within the development.
The flats are beginning to become available via Bournemouth Housing, and all specifically state there is no parking available.
If you allow just one vehicle for each flat, bearing in mind that some will have more than that, this puts at least 25 extra vehicles parked on the road in an already congested area.
What a shame when Mr Fudge’s Lib Dem council was in power and approved this development it did not foresee the extra parking necessary.
DENIS DEAN, Harting Road, Bournemouth
