THE views of the local people are disregarded by this autocratic council, as the parking meters are quietly placed in position along Bourne Avenue.
The “I’m all right Jack” attitude of this council, as they have all the parking spaces in the locality, proves to me that there is an “us and them” arrogance emanating from our local council.
Workers in the town centre have not been consulted. Have the businesses?
Or is it just the policy of the council to send shoppers to Castlepoint, neglecting the needs and requirements of those unfortunate enough to work in the town centre? Those who start early when buses are not running, and need somewhere to park that is cost-effective according to their salary?
These workers don’t have the inflated rises we read councillors have awarded themselves, and have free parking, whereas these menials just pay the council tax to accommodate the lifestyle of the grasping rulers.
Wake up Bournemouth. We’ve seen what’s happening nationally in Parliament. Is it not time to get local government reflecting the needs of the local people?
Roll on the elections!
