cllr Stribley (No done deals in planning process, Have Your Say, June 17) knows full well that the Pitt enquiry did not give Poole planning a “completely clean bill of health”.
It criticised much – poor communication, lack of independence of the committee, poor minute-keeping making decisions inexplicable, failure to record members’ votes as well as fully recognising local anger at some perverse decisions.
The Pitt report was in any case an anodyne, expensive document.
Sir Michael Pitt refused to see any individual residents who asked specifically to see him and it should be judged on that basis.
I do not feel that £30,000 of our money should have been spent in this way.
