I hear Bournemouth Borough Council were already making cutbacks of eight per cent in the parks and gardens department – ahead of the Chancellor’s mini budget!
Our parks and gardens are wonderful, and a pride and joy admired by our many visitors. Other news mentioned was passing over the Littledown swimming pool.
What do we pay council tax for? The council is still dithering with the fated Imax building, the swimming pool in the BIC has gone, and in Boscombe there has been all the expense of the Surf Reef (a flop) and did we really have to import those two stone grey pillars from China when we have our own Purbeck stone?
Our leisure facilities are negative for visitors with families and also our own residents.
Perhaps the council could listen to its constituents, get its expenditure within budget and not waste money on planning and architects which never materialise!
