Once again we, the local residents, have to tolerate the inconvenience caused by the illegal occupation of public amenities by travellers. (No World Cup match thanks to travellers, Daily Echo, June 22).
Setting up camp on a Friday night indicates a deliberate strategy.
Why do we put up with it? If I parked a motor caravan overnight on any of the sites the travellers occupy I would face a hefty fine and probably wheel clamping.
