What’s the answer to congestion question? (Daily Echo, June 18).
Part of the answer is to stop painting out and reducing previously existing traffic lanes at the approach to roundabouts etc, stop making through roads cul-de-sacs and open up those side roads that have been blocked off in order to provide more alternative routes. Many of the present congestion problems have been created deliberately and have wasted a lot of public money in the process.
