ON the 24 March you printed a letter from a postal worker at the Winton Delivery Office.

I am in total agreement with him about the way the new system is working – or not.

We in this area of Upton hardly ever see our normal and helpful and efficient postman. We get an assortment of different people and never know when – of if – our mail will arrive. One day it was after 5.30pm.

The last straw was today when a pile of post arrived at lunch time which included an Easter card posted ‘FIRST CLASS’ in Poole on the 18th April.

It is totally unacceptable for this to have taken 10 days to come a couple of miles especially as the postage rate went up at the beginning of this month. Incidentally after this post arrived at lunch time two more items of mail appeared about two hours later.
