WITH reference to the on-going problems and suggestions regarding the Imax, I still think a good idea would be to put a swimming pool on the ground floor, an Ice Rink on the floor above it and a curved sunroof above the Ice Rink (i.e over the floor above it) in which should be a restaurant.
These facilities would be very useful for residents and visitors in the Winter and poor weather the rest of the year.
For several years I have also thought the free entry into the Russell Cotes Museum was wrong. A small charge like £2 for adults and £1 for pensioners and children would also help for various costs like insurance and cleaning etc.
It would also be sensible to have free computer use for resident council taxpayers and a charge for others i.e in our libraries.
Could anyone tell us how much it would have cost to have brought Purbeck stone to build a reef on the other side of Boscombe Pier please?
May I also suggest that once a month the back page of the Advertiser should have local residents interviewed and asked – “What needs doing to improve our towns and areas i.e Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch? (We can hope!)
