ON Monday I was riding my thoroghbred through Holt in Wimborne. My horse is 16.3 and an ex-racehorse.
I am just under 5ft so as you can imagine he is a very large horse with a little rider.
When drivers go past me slowly, I bow my head and smile nicely. I keep very alert with both my hands on the reins at all times.
I am fully aware of what my horse is capable of! Whilst out having a pleasant ride on a lovely Bank Holiday a vehicle drove past me slowly, I bowed my head and smiled nicely, as I always do!
To my horror an elderly gentlman sounded his horn, which sent my horse into a frenzy, jumped out of his car and hurled obscene abuse at me for not thanking him for slowing down!
I was so shocked and trying to stay on my beast at the time I didn’t take his number.
Please motorist, be aware of horses. They don’t have a key!
To the gentleman, you know who you are.
My family was glad to see me home safe and sound. No thanks to you!
