I HAVE never written to a paper before, but after our experience on Good Friday I feel that I must.
My daughter and I enjoyed a lovely picnic on the beach at Alum Chine. Then the day turned into Hell Friday.
Trying to have a relaxing walk along the promenade it was not!
Every man and his bike must have been out that day, all whizzing and weaving past us and at us.
No one got off their bikes to walk through the crowds.
We saw signs that said pedestrians have priority. What a load of rubbish, even sat on a seat we had bikes inches from our toes. Perhaps pedestrians are ‘invisible’.
Anyway we shall not be going anywhere near Bournemouth Boscombe gardens which is a nightmare, for you can’t walk with skateboarders doing 50mph through the gardens, they to have no regard for us pedestrians.
They should be banned all the year round nor just in July and August.
