I AM writing in reply to Marilyn Warburton’s letter which was recently featured in your letter column.
She is very much mistaken in her information and needs to be informed of the good news.
She stated that she is unable to shop in Bournemouth because it has no Shopmobility Units.
Well, the good news is that Bournemouth has not only one but two units manned by the most wonderfully helpful ladies – the first is in the Sovereign Centre in Boscombe and the unit which I regularly use is at Castlepoint Shopping Centre.
Parking is excellent, the scooters are well maintained and the ladies make a wonderful cup of coffee and always have time for a chat.
These facilities are not only a lifeline with my shopping needs, giving me back my independence but also Shopmobility has given me a social life and my weekly visits are a real tonic and have made life so much more enjoyable.
