I AM writing to you to complain about the dangerous parking of vehicles on the Shore Road at Swanage.
There are so many motor homes and caravanettes parked on the sea road, it resembles a line of refugee transport.
These vehicles cause major construction to other vehicles, especially buses and commercial vehicles who have to drive on the pavements for extra room and, at the same time, be aware of open car doors and people crossing.
These very large vehicles also obstruct the views to our magnificent bay and beach. I cannot imagine any other seaside town allowing this to happen.
The Shore Road should be a no parking area, only to be used as a drop off for disabled people.
There are plenty of car parks available and more car parks would collect more revenue. This money would be of great value to the local community.
I hope that this correspondence will invoke a positive response.
MIKE NORMAN, Redcliffe Road, Swanage
