MAY I make a couple of points about council spending during these difficult times when all one hears about is financial cut backs and job losses? I was amazed to see that along the cliff tops the council have installed new solar powered bins that indicate when they are ready to be emptied!
These must surely come at considerable cost compared to traditional bins that simply get emptied when they are full and seen by the eye.
Also, great expense must be involved in contracting a firm to water pressure hose the town centre.
I actually saw this being performed in the rain one day, and frankly the end result is barely a shade different. All a waste of money in my opinion.
