IN the past month it has been reported by the Bournemouth Daily Echo that the council has installed 25 solar bins along Bournemouth golden seafront.
These new generation bins are expected to encourage people to dispose of their waste more responsibly.
The new solar bins represent the latest efforts by Bournemouth Council to make use of clever renewable technology, allowing the bins to self compact the contents down so that more waste can be disposed of before having to be emptied and send a signal back to the council’s street services when they are full.
As one of the south’s leading green pioneering companies we welcome this important commitment by Bournemouth Council to make use of these new generation solar bins.
It projects the vital, assured stance that is needed to deliver the message of how much more can be done with renewable energies.
The council is clearly leading by example and we hope that members of the public become engaged with the scheme and that everyone does their bit to keep Bournemouth seafront a clean and inviting place to visit.
