I REFER to the opinion by Ed Perkins in the Echo on Thursday. How right you are in your article on Councillor Borthwick – what disgraceful thing to do!
My wife and I voted for the independents that night, because we think Cllr Ron Whittaker has been a stalwart for fair play and justice for Muscliff for the last few years and we cannot speak too highly of him.
That was what led us to vote for all three independents and not Conservative which we have voted for nationally for 40 years.
Cllr Borthwick should resign now, if not, come on the Echo help us get our 1,037 votes back.
