IT may sound a wacky suggestion, but in our ever wider search for forms of green electrical power would it be technically possible to place small tidal turbines under the railway bridges in Holes Bay and at Rockley.
Could that make a small but useful contribution not withstanding the vagaries of SSSI status? More bizarrely if you attached a tidal turbine to the underside of the Sandbanks Ferry, could it make a useful contribution to that vessel’s power requirements or would it become too difficult a vessel to control?
