IT is high time that the Kellys of “Kelly’s Kitchen” had the good grace to accept that they do not have a God-given right to exist as a commercial enterprise when their lease ran out some eight years ago.

They are after all a business not a charity. If they are so loved and wanted by the people who signed their petition, they will have no problem in filling any unit in Christchurch to the very rafters; all they have managed to do is ensure that the council ran up large legal bills – precious money that could have been allocated to more pressing concerns.
