IT seems strange that the travellers who descend upon the various open spaces in Dorset seem to do so in the summer months. Where do they go during the winter?

The main bone of contention isn’t so much that they invade a place and make camp, but the mess they leave behind when they move on.

This, as we have found in the past via the pages in this newspaper, costs thousands of pounds of council, ie our, money.

Why do such people have to be their own worst enemy? If they took the trouble to clear up, they wouldn’t have such a bad reputation. The ethics and morality of Mrs Do-as-you-would-be-done-by should still hold court even today.
