WITH reference to Andy Nicholls’ Opinion column in Monday’s Daily Echo about the government’s initiative to ‘give children their childhoods back’ by clamping down on sexualized media images.
It’s not the parents that need educating. Sadly, we now live in a shameless amoral age of anything goes, where there is no longer a healthy balance between permissiveness and repression.
You only have to go into the town centre to see what I mean – lap-dancing clubs, sex shops and no-one seems to care. It’s considered the norm now.
The primary motive in this increasingly sick society will always be one of profit/market share and personal freedom of adult ‘sexual expression’.
Due to the invention of political correctness, anyone brave enough to make a moral judgement is automatically labelled and told to shut up.
