I HAVE just returned to be faced with last week’s headline re: Russell-Cotes Museum.
I wrote some time ago when the top, original main entrance, was closed. This destroyed the feeling of the house, hardly enhanced by the present modern entry.
My complaint was responded to by the then chairman of the appropriate committee saying there never would be any charge for entry to the house, which was given to the borough.
I can’t see many people paying £5 each to walk right up there when the beach is so close. If the weather is poor it is more comfortable to go to the shops.
