CLLR Eades has never been shy in peppering his campaigns with personal attack, vitriol and misdirection, but the lack of accuracy in his latest personal attack on me is staggering.

He forgets that in cabinet I spoke out and voted against the portable cabins being on Whitecliff. I never supported them and would only support the football club proposals if they gained planning permission, which they did not. A fact that protects public open space.

In my time on Poole Council, I did nothing to injure Public Open space in Poole. Indeed the restaurant in Poole Park is highly popular welcomed by the friends of Poole Park and acclaimed by independent inspectors, but was misdescribed in his campaign against it as a pub.

Then there is the Pyramid that never was. The memory of which he is enthusiastically keeping alive as a stick to try to beat the Conservatives with. Yet that stick comes at a heavy price for Poole Council and its residents, both in trust and money.

The question is will he now as Chairman of planning assure residents that the planning policies he is now in charge of implementing do in fact protect public open space or will he continue to mislead the public to avoid admitting his TVG camping has cost the people? I believe he will continue to misdirect and accuse, reducing the faith in the council even more.
