RETURNING to Dorset last Monday from the north, I frequently tried to restrict my car speed to 60mph on motorways or trunk roads.

Too many juggernauts/multi-axle commercials etc were often ‘pushing me’ along with their radiator grille filling my mirrors, some even overtaking me (I thought they had speed limiters).

If they remained at their legal top speed or even reduced it by 10 per cent that would more than cover the extra fuel cost to them at least, without a need to petition MPs.
