LAST year my son had a new idea for our Sporting Foundation (set up in 2005 for our lovely son Stevie B who tragically died in a car crash in 2005).
This Friday the idea materialises, when my husband Tony, my son Jacques, nine other riders and three support team take on the challenge of cycling from Landsend to John O’Groats and climbing the Three Peaks on their way back.
Six months of hard training and lots of planning will finally see the boys leaving Christchurch football club to embark on their epic challenge. They will certainly be pleased when they are finally climbing down Snowdonia,on their last port of call in July.
As the mum of Stevie, I will be at home looking after the dog and praying that everything goes to plan.
I would just like to take this opportunity to wish the boys all the very best of luck and a very safe journey, You are doing an outstanding job, and keeping Stevie’s memory alive.
If anyone would like to pledge any money for this very worthy cause, they can do so by logging onto the stevebernardfoundation.org
