I FEEL sorry for future Bournemouth University students if fees are increasing to at least £8,200 per year. The government claims there is no reason for most universities to charge more than £6,000 and fees of £9,000 should only be charged in exceptional circumstances.
I see a lack of financial control at the Business School. A long serving head of department and member of their executive left at Christmas with a pay-off of £70,000. Why?
Not content with this he was hired to do consultancy for the school which values his financial judgement. He certainly is good at managing his own finances!
When it comes to Deans of the Business School, how many have there been this academic year? Three? I wonder how much their golden hellos and goodbyes were?
