I READ the article concerning the driver rehab course fee increase with interest (Daily Echo, June 24). I have been on one of these courses recently and found it very beneficial.
Firstly, I did not get three points on my licence. Secondly, I have been more aware of my speed, other traffic and road conditions following my attendance. Thirdly, I was made aware of changes in the Highway Code that I had no knowledge of.
The delivery of the course was not belittling and was well thought out.
It is, as far as possible “interactive”, but obviously depends on how the driver feels about having to attend.
It’s a no-brainer really, £60 and three points or £105 and a clean licence. I think it’s worth every penny.
