I HEAR that the county cannot afford to pay a small annual amount for school crossing persons. And schools have for the most part refused due to lack of funds.
The county is considering closing libraries, day centres for the elderly and are not filling in potholes etc ad infinitum.
The government has decided to continue spending millions to aid sickness in India, millions in Africa and in other foreign countries.
Years ago I lived in Canada and saw how their government worked hard to benefit its own people.
It seems to me that our government is willing to spend the tax payers money to the detriment of its own people.
Can somebody please tell me why this should be? Should charity not begin at home?
