AFTER a decade under socialism, the public services did rather well – caught up any private sector benefits, and now want to continue to be “top of the class”.
Can’t blame the union leaders for stoking up feelings. They have to protect their own nice little earners, large salary packets, perks, swilling champers etc. If the idle rich can have it so can we idle union leaders, who need to do something now and again to justify their existence.
Amazing that so many lemmings all jump to their orders, all for the glory of the next leader to follow in the footsteps of a certain coalminers’ leader a few decades ago.
He didn’t succeed in running the country – fingers crossed that whoever hopes to exceed him won’t either.
Their battle cry when it comes to cutbacks to fill the black hole is “Anybody but us”
