WIMBORNE, Westbourne and Wareham look beautiful with the flowers decorating the towns. It is a pleasure to walk or drive through and the residents should be very proud of what they have done. Sadly, I live in Poole and it is dull. Not one hanging basket or tub of flowers in the whole of the town.
In fact, there are baskets or containers still left from the last time they were used, hanging on the sign or lightposts they were attached to.
The Lord Nelson and Jolly Sailor pubs are a joy to look at on the Quay but everywhere else (except the odd roundabout) is awful.
There is even a threat to grass over the garden as you enter Poole Park. What is happening with our town? Can we have some flowers in the town next year because it is too late for this summer?
I should imagine visitors find the town nothing special to look at and as a resident I certainly don’t.
