That heath has probably been there for many hundreds if not thousands of years.
I’m sure that it has experienced more than just a few fires during its existence.
Whether fires are started naturally or unnaturally they have the same effect and the heath land will quickly regenerate itself just as it has done over its lifetime.
As for rare animals and plants these will also recover and repopulate naturally as they have done for thousands of years.
There is no need to supply cash to pander to the wishes of a few bleeding heart, liberal conservationists.
These conservationists can’t have anything better to do and are in a minority.
Most of us have more important things to worry about than a few plants and lizards.
