SO Robert Readman took his daily ‘I Love the Tories’ pill, and wrote his letter ‘Why Is everyone criticising Cameron?’ (Have Your Say, June 24). Well, look at the front page of that very Daily Echo. Our police forces are losing their helicopters, boats, and coppers on the street due to the severity of Cameron’s ridiculous cutbacks.
In the same edition, after churches had lead from their roofs stolen, now, the RNLI have had theirs nicked due, presumably, to jobless people needing the money.
That’s why everyone is criticising David Cameron, not for what he is doing, but for the fact that he is doing it far too quickly. And yes, Greece are in a far worse state, but if Cameron keeps going, we will be rubbing shoulders with them as the pauper nations of Europe.
We are in the mire mainly due to the collapse of the banks, which, agreed, took place under a Labour government.
So I have to ask, yet again, had Cameron been PM at the time those banks collapsed, what would he have done to solve the problem, which Blair and Brown didn’t?
