I WOULD just like to bring to your attention a few incidents that happened to my mother while she was staying with me.
She is quite elderly and used to always get lost when she went out in Boscombe. On one such evening when she was walking the dog she must have lost her way however, some very kind gentleman walked her all the way home and even called me on my mobile to assure me that she was safe.
On a second occasion she got lost in the daytime and again another friendly, kind stranger walked her to her destination. And finally, two young people knocked on my flat door one evening and explained another incident when mother got lost and they felt they should check on her to see that she was safe.
It really does sicken me how people cast their negative, poisonous opinions about Boscombe. These actions just go to show there are many kind, caring and genuine individuals in Boscombe. These are people who live in the area.
I personally love living here. I love its earthy, friendly characters, its beautiful Victorian buildings and its buzzing shopping/market centres and at least it’s never boring like some places that I have lived.
So as they say don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it and please stop tarring everyone with the same brush.
