READING ‘Faith Matters’ last Saturday, I was blessed to read how a soldier serving in Afghanistan, had written a letter of gratitude upon receiving a Christmas shoebox. This was organised by Tessa and Neville at the Wessex Christian Centre.
But guess what? He requested a Bible. Then I read on through the Echo and came across an article from Ken Chappell, implying the truth of the Bible, in other words disbelieving God.
As a World War Two veteran, during the war I went on many church parades. I remember our King requesting national days of prayer. I also know the first word of our national anthem is God.
But Ken is not alone, they have taken the Bibles out of classrooms, and what have we got? No need to get married, no Sabbath, the only bells one can hear on Sunday are the supermarket tills. And the state our country is in today. No God - no wonder.
