SOME will disagree that Halloween is “just a bit of fun for the kids”; personally I don’t mind it.
I draw the line three days before All Hallows, being confronted outside Lidl in Bearwood at 9am, by two girls with a tin yelling “trick or treat”.
No attempt at scary dressing up, no pumpkin or broomstick; an effigy of Guy Fawkes may have made it slightly acceptable.
Parents please note, this is no more than begging and typical of our fast-growing something-for-nothing culture.
