IT was heartening to read that Borough of Poole committee dealing with the suggested sites for travellers in a summarily manner, throwing out three short-listed sites.
Their description of the sites was ridiculous and no doubt they are considering them workable, which description can apply to those sites submitted to Bournemouth Council for consideration.
Surely the council can take a leaf out of Poole’s book and take quick action by dismissing the submissions of this very controversial matter and await the result of the public consultation exercise.
Otherwise time spent in panel’s consideration etc would be a complete waste of time the whole matter of where we would approve of a travellers site has already been thrashed out and it would simply be a repetition discussion.
