I HAVE nothing against the mobile phone but can’t help wondering if they have become something of a drug.
It seems that in places where people gather, ie doctors’ surgeries, hospital waiting areas, or even on public transport, the minute some people sit down then out comes the mobile, or after sitting quietly for a few moments the thing goes off.
Sometimes it is very annoying.
The phone companies must be raking in a fortune.
I do have one but I can honestly say I only keep it for emergencies, not to be used at every given opportunity.
Has it become the latest habit forming drug?
