WOULD it be possible for the Bournemouth Council to tell us the latest situation regarding the proposed play area to be built on a quarter or third of the Queens Park Golf Club car park, please? Surely this is not a very good idea.
Many times throughout the year the car park is full of golfers’ cars who pay to play on the course.
If part of it is changed for a play area there will be even more cars when parents bring their children on to a smaller car park.
Originally the play area was to be built near the first tee. No doubt the noise would have disturbed many golfers (thankfully commonsense saved it).
The play area should be near the Clubhouse on the unused football pitch.
Can we hope?
