THERE have been many ‘clangers’ by Bournemouth councillors in recent years.

These include demolishing the Winter Gardens, enlarging the BIC Windsor Hall, removing the swimming pool and not putting it in the ground floor of the IMAX and the Boscombe Pier reef.

Could I again appeal for common sense to return?

I refer to the latest stupidity of building a play area on the Queens Park golf course car park.

Surely the play area would be safer on the unused football pitch or other nearby areas.

When various swings etc are being used the other children could play on the grassed area.
