I AM on a week’s leave from work so decided to take my bike down and have a ride along the promenade next to the beach.

As I rode along, the thought came to me that Bournemouth must surely be the best place in England to live.

Flat, clean beach front, easy for riding and walking and beautiful views – what more could you possibly want?

The sun was shining, there were people walking enjoying the fresh air after all the cold we have experienced.

And the best part of this was that everything was free.

The parking was free, the ride along the beach front was free and the exercise was free!

The beach never gets too crowded that you can’t find a spot to sit on the sand, and it is always so beautifully clean.

I am so glad that I decided to do the bike ride because it made me appreciate what a beautiful place we live in.

It is no surprise that Bournemouth beach has been voted one of the top spots in Britain because it is the best.
