A FEW years ago now on an outing with the field club I belonged to, we were taken to Kimmeridge Oil Farm.
Our guide explained how the ‘nodding donkey’ as we knew it, continued to produce oil beyond its expected date.
It was not known where all this oil was coming from, but it was believed to be a seam under the sea.
We are all concerned in windfarms’ sights and sounds above the sea, but how deep do they have to go to get these monsters to stay upright?
And might they be disturbing those oil seams?
The risk of oil in this area could devastate our priceless, spectacular much loved beautiful surroundings.
With technology changing so rapidly I feel that windfarms will become outdated and will end up as even worse rubbish to clutter the earth.
In the meantime we can all cut our electricity use down considerably if we all really put our minds to it.
