I WISH to make two points: firstly I agree with Pauline Lister about the state of rubbish on the A338.
However having driven to Oxford and Portsmouth just recently, the A34 and A27 are just as bad.
Surely the councils concerned could spend some money on this, having spent the millions at the Canford Bottom roundabout in our case.
What a welcome for people coming to the Olympics.
Secondly, can people issued with community service orders not be given this job (under supervision) of course?
Recently in the Echo so many people are given community service as a punishment.
In fact, what does community service mean?
I believe several years ago a premier footballer, after being found guilty of an affray outside a pub, was given community service.
Guess what he was given, the job of football coaching to a boys’ team. That’s like asking one of the Strictly professional dancers to perform at the BIC free of charge.
Please can someone in authority give an idea what this community service order entails.
