I AM writing in response to reading Ruth Oliver’s article ‘Christians will be in the minority in UK by 2030’ (Faith Matters, March 10).

How do you get a true count of how many Christians there are, when it is only God who sees and knows the heart?

Our creator God made each one of us whether we choose to believe in Him or not. Sadly for David Warden, his relationship with Jesus sounds like the seed that was sown on thorny ground.

The humanist principles of self-determination say it all really; perhaps that is why Frank Sinatra’s song My Way has proved to be so popular. Christianity is about dying to self and maybe that is why the country is in such a dire state, because self has been promoted so.

How many humanists and how many Muslims around the world have been persecuted, tortured and killed for their faith? Each year thousands of Christians are.

It makes me wonder if the evil powers of this world are “hell bent” in destroying the truth and seek to quicken their pace because they know their day of reckoning is near.

The Bible declares Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever; He is The Way, The Truth and The Life and no one comes to the Father except through Him. The path to life is narrow and few will find it and keep on, keeping on.
