THIS is the 21st century isn’t it?
Can someone explain to me why civil engineers are not prepared to work 24-hour, seven days a week to repair Tuckton Bridge in half the time scheduled?
This is an essential crossing point of the River Stour.
The queues both sides of the roadworks are horrendous and very frustrating.
To avoid the bridge is a three-mile detour to access Tuckton Village and Southbourne.
It results in hold-ups all along Barrack Road. When other motorists are equally searching for an alternative route.
It must be equally frustrating for Yellow Buses trying to keep to a timetable.
What it will be like during the Easter holiday period, God only knows!
