RE: New tent leaves me feeling blue (March 15, 2012, about Oakmead College’s new structure).

My husband and I completely agree with Mr Darren Jones and his article about the above eyesore. It puts us in mind of an aircraft hangar.

We are also in the unfortunate position of looking at this monstrosity which we believe to be a volleyball hall.

Does it really have to be so tall?

We cannot help wondering at what cost this has been installed taking into consideration the present inflated building costs, we would imagine around the £1million mark.

We, like Mr Jones, had no prior knowledge of this building till the main structure went up.

In the present economic times we now live in, is a building of this size and purpose really necessary and more important will it, at the end of the day, produce better exam results for the pupils?
