I HAVE read with interest the recent letters about our disgusting grass verges particularly along the A338 and A31.
I have to agree with the comments made but perhaps we need to look more to our local councils. At 9.40am on Wednesday last week I was travelling on the A338 from Ashley Heath to Christchurch following an East Dorset District Council recycling lorry and all manner of paper and rubbish was flying out of the back on the verges where the containers were overfilled. I have since looked more carefully at the type of rubbish left on the verges.
I feel this is where the majority is coming from and in the case of skip lorries that are not netted when they are moved, you see lots of them.
