JUST what are the planning officers on Poole Council thinking in granting a change of use from pub to a store on the Darby’s Corner site?
If you leave Tesco at Fleetsbridge and drive towards Broadstone you are barely out of third gear by the time you reach this spot.
Waterloo estate has a shopping parade, Broadstone, Creekmoor and Canford Heath all with innumerable shopping facilities on our doorstep.
With constant emphasis on the environment and leaving the car at home, most people on Waterloo and surrounding areas would welcome the opportunity of walking to a local pub that sold decent beer.
We don’t want another convenience store, we don’t need one. Maybe a policy maker from the council would like to explain why this agreement to a change of use was sanctioned.
