THE recent article regarding the £25k spent on the new dog enclosure has angered a few people with its cost, including some dog owners.

Although I myself could easily find a worthy charity to benefit from the fairly moderate sum in this day and age, the benefits from this type of amenity is not just for the dogs, it’s a meeting place for families so they can enjoy each others’ company as well.

It is just another addition to a vibrant area that is providing the local people with enjoyment.

If those concerned do begrudge their small part of council tax being used, make yourself known. Stand by the gate with a tin – I will be the first to contribute a £1 per visit until you recuperate your losses.
